The simplest way to look desperate

Life is simple.

But some people find a way to overcomplicate it.

There is this one girl that I know, let’s call her A, and she’s trying to be best friends with this other girl (who we’ll call R).

Whenever R is around, A will come rushing towards her to enjoy her company. She wants to be the attention for R, regardless of who is present. And if anybody else is having a conversation with R, A will hijack the conversation like it’s 9/11.

And the ironic thing is, R can’t stand A, but she is very patient and polite.

It’s cringe-worthy to see A try so hard to force a friendship that isn’t there.

If there is anything I have learned over the years is that you can’t force things to go your way. Whether it’s for love, sex, money, friendships, reputation, etc, you cannot force them to go the way you want it.

If I was close to A, I would tell her that she is making herself look like a fool by trying o force something that isn’t there. I would also tell her that she needs to design her life in a way to find friends that will appreciate her.

Go join social clubs, meet up with old friends, be social in general. And as long as you are patient enough to let relationships grow by themselves, you will have an abundance of good friends.

If one of my boys is struggling with the ladies, I would give similar advice. Don’t try to force anything with a girl. Instead, learn to be social with people and girls in general. And if you don’t act desperate, out of the dozens of girls you met over the months, some of them will want to keep seeing you.

The best things in life are never forced.

When things organically develop, they are fruitful and more enjoyable.

I see too many people trying to force things in their life and the only result they get is being miserable.

So if you are struggling with something, do some self-reflection and ask yourself if you’re trying to force things instead of letting them grow organically.
