Why tactics and hacks don’t work for most people
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of self-improvement content pop up on the internet.
They all give different tactics in conquering bad habits and instilling good habits.
You’ll see a lot of these tactics backed by science and everything.
People watching these types of content gobble it right up, implement it for a few days/weeks, and then quit. Ending up in the same spot as before.
You want to know why so many of these scientifically-backed tactics or hacks don’t work for most people?
Well, if you must know.
The reason is that many people have the wrong Life Philosophy.
You see, if the core of your Life Philosophy is corrupt, then nothing you do will come to fruition.
If your Life Philosophy is based on fear, you’re going to let the fear of failure get in the way.
If your Life Philosophy is based on pleasure, you’re going to let the lack of pleasure get in the way.
If your Life Philosophy is based on laziness, you’re going to let laziness get in the way.
Everything you do in life comes from the core of your Life Philosophy.
I know, because I used to be one of those peeps consuming all the self-improvement content, but seemed to always be stuck in the same spot.
Whether it was dating, career, social, online business, etc.
I was usually in the same spot, despite all the information I consumed.
All of this changed when I realized my Life Philosophy was based on me trying to be perfect. I thought that if I wasn’t perfect, then I couldn’t achieve anything.
When I changed my Life Philosophy to embracing my one shot at life and doing my best on this wonderful journey, is when things started to change.
Now, when I implement tactics, they work in most cases, because I am not getting in my own way in consistently executing.
If you’re not sure what your Life Philosophy is then just take a look at your consistent actions. The consistent actions you take in your life will reveal a lot about you. However, this requires some bitter self-honesty.
And if self-honesty is a tough pill to swallow, then either start journalling and conversing with yourself. Or seek a therapist.
You have to realize that when your Life Philosophy is corrected, you can truly build an amazing life.
But if your Life Philosophy is flawed, no tactic or hack will help you. You might get some short term results, but you won’t go very far.
So take the time to think about all this.
And I hope, starting today, you’ll start updating your Life Philosophy.
